Methodology
Our methods depend on the question. An operator’s page can establish what it publishes about a product on the day we read it. It cannot establish that a departure has places, what you will pay at checkout or whether the experience suits you.
Experience records
For each recorded experience we read its operator’s page and record published facts such as duration, group format, inclusions, meeting-point precision, distance and stated conditions, each with its source and the date checked. Missing details stay unknown, and contradictory statements are kept side by side. We record short factual values only; descriptions, reviews and images are not copied.
Booking terms
Booking-term records compare what each booking surface says about cancellation deadlines, fees, rescheduling and no-shows, keeping a direct operator’s terms separate from a marketplace’s. A general platform policy is never substituted for the conditions attached to a particular listing. No booking, cancellation or refund was made to produce them.
Comparisons
Comparison pages use the named operators’ current pages, cited on the page. Cities outside the recorded data, such as Paris, use their own sources and are not results from the finder.
Before records are published
Each source’s terms are read before its facts are compiled. A source whose terms expressly prohibit compilation is left out, and records are read one page at a time rather than collected automatically. The checks are recorded in each data set’s source ledger.
The finder
The experience finder filters and sorts a fixed set of records in your browser. All records are readable without JavaScript. It makes no network requests while filtering, asks for no location and stores nothing. Its behaviour was checked in a real browser, and the record is published with the data.
What we publish
Compilations are CC BY 4.0, and original code is MIT licensed. Each data set’s METHOD file, hash list and source ledger are published with it. Those licences do not relicense operators’ text, photographs, marks or official data.
